Artist's Comments

Well, I hope this is useful.

Some people keep asking how I do it,
It's really not that hard,
But it's a lot of fun :)

Finished Wallpaper: [link]

If there's any spelling errors don't point them out, I'll find them myself later and fix them. I worked on this and the wallpaper made for the tutorial for about 7 hours; so I hope it was worth it.

Comments/favs are greatly appreciated.

Wow, this is awesome. I was always wondering how a wallpaper master (such as yourself) does this. Thanks a lot, I'm going to use the tutorial on my own wallpapers!

Great tutorial! Thanks!

Wow. This really helped me make a wallpaper of my own! Wonderful job. There weren't any spelling errors from what I could see, so, no worries. But question: what sites or users of the DA do you go to for your brushes and stuff (I have a feeling they're on your watch list, correct?)?
:iconcalthyechild:
Yes... lovely, handy tutorial... but the big question is probably, where do you get your brushes? Do you make your own or just download them? (I don't have many due to, well, not having Photoshop... so I have to get image packs rather than brush files)

That said, I love minimalistic artwork, but since I'm pretty stubborn about making my own wallpapers, I never do make them. =( Maybe this'll inspire me a bit to try. :D

I sent a small list out to someone the other day about some of the brush packs I use, I could give it to you too. Sometimes I upload clipart from paper scraps via scaner and then turn them into vector images with Illustrator, and then brushes with Photoshop. I don't upload any brushes I make, though there doesn't seem to be any reason as to why.
